The side panel can be removed by itself however it isn't recommended since it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is an excellent choice for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that can be attached securely to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them during the night.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to begin. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was fairly simple to put together. The only downside was the lack of captions in writing on a few of the images which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of top quality.

In the co-sleeping mode, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, because it lets them comfortably reach out to their infant for feeding and comfort without having to get up from their own bed. It's a great option for parents who do not want to go through the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot, or getting out of it.

During our tests we observed the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be especially helpful when it comes to lulling babies back to sleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down side can be accessible to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night and was a major benefit for our exhausted test mums.
